Turkmen-Kazakh inter-MFA consultations were held yesterday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs A.Kurbanov, the Kazakh side was represented by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan E.Konuspayev.
The parties held a constructive exchange of views on the bilateral agenda, reviewing the progress of implementation of previously reached agreements.
Noting the high level of interaction in the “CA+” format, as well as within the UN, the Turkmen participants of the meeting expressed gratitude to the Kazakh side for supporting international initiatives and co-authoring a number of UN resolutions initiated by Turkmenistan.
The effectiveness of inter-parliamentary cooperation and the need to intensify inter-MFA cooperation were also noted.
Speaking about cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, the parties emphasized the fruitful nature of the meeting of the Turkmen-Kazakh Business Council held on October 8.
The need to deepen cooperation in such priority areas of the economy as fuel and energy, transport and logistics and industrial sectors was noted. Issues of cultural and humanitarian cooperation were also touched upon.
The parties confirmed their mutual commitment to further intensify bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
