National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in Kazakhstan at the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The visit is timed to coincide with the official opening ceremony of the 5th World Nomad Games, which will start today in Astana. This was stated in the TDH report.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was met by Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov and other officials at the Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport in Astana.
Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan continue to strengthen strategic cooperation by implementing joint projects in various fields, including sports.
This year, Turkmenistan will be represented by 29 athletes and 6 coaches at the World Nomad Games.
