Two new oxygen stations successfully installed by UNICEF in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan have appeared at the Scientific-Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Health Care in Ashgabat and the Center for Maternal and Child Health Care in Dashoguz.

The support provided by UNICEF included the procurement and installation of the stations, as well as technical assistance to ensure that the stations are fully operational and integrated into the national health system. This support expands oxygen therapy services in Turkmenistan and contributes to improving maternal and child health care, according to a UNICEF press release.

This support builds on UNICEF's ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan on oxygen therapy.

Oxygen is a vital medical resource needed to treat respiratory diseases and manage a wide range of medical conditions, as well as improve overall health outcomes.

Alexandru Nartea, UNICEF Deputy Representative in Turkmenistan noted that in the future UNICEF will continue to work closely with the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry to introduce modern respiratory therapy techniques into clinical training programs.
