During the meeting of the Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in Bishkek Nury Golliyev, issues of cooperation in the trade, economic and transport spheres were discussed.
In particular, the Turkmen ambassador noted the importance of cooperation in the field of international freight transportation between the two countries and the importance of launching a transport corridor from China through Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan and further to Turkmenistan with access to the Caspian Sea. N. Golliyev emphasized the positive dynamics of growth in mutual trade volumes, as well as the potential for cooperation in the fields of energy and agriculture.
The parties confirmed the importance of implementing the agreements reached at the 6th meeting of the intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Turkmen Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Humanitarian Cooperation, which was held on July 24-25 in Cholpon-Ata, the source notes.
