The Days of Culture of Turkmenistan continue in Hungary. Yesterday in Budapest, a joint meeting of cultural figures of Turkmenistan and Hungary took place at the Heritage House.
According to “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, the participants talked about the development of Turkmen-Hungarian relations in a variety of directions, in particular in the field of art and culture.
It was especially noted that some poems of the famous Hungarian poet Sándor Petőfi had been translated into Turkmen language. Cultural figures from both countries emphasized the widespread celebration this year of the 300th anniversary of the classic of Turkmen literature Magtymguly Fragi. The Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Hungary will give additional impetus to the study of the invaluable philosophical and poetic heritage of Magtymguly, which is included in the golden treasury of world literature, the participants confidently noted.
Representatives of Turkmenistan also spoke about the development of library and publishing activities in the country, the source notes.
