The Japan Hide and Seek Association has announced a unique event for Hide and Seek enthusiasts. On the uninhabited island of Tsumaga, located off the coast of Iki Island in Nagasaki Prefecture, a large-scale game of hide and seek will take place on November 3 and 4, Mail.ru reports with reference to SoraNews24.

100 people will take part in the game: 90 will hide, and 10 will look for them throughout the island in the form of Japanese “they” demons. The game will last two hours. The winners – those who remain undetected the longest and those who find the most hidden ones – will be awarded prizes. The top players will get the chance to represent Japan in international hide-and-seek competitions.

Students and adults with childlike enthusiasm, a love of play and the ability to appreciate the natural beauty of the island are welcome to participate. After the game, participants will stay overnight on the island.

Participation costs 24,800 yen ($162), including meals and island rental. Applications will begin on August 25.

The association also invites volunteers to help organize the event. For them, a preparatory event will be held on August 24-25, costing 13 800 yen ($90), including a mini-game and instructions on organizing the main event.
