Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova accepted credentials from the Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua Tatiana Daniela Garcia Silva, TDH reports.
The head of the national parliament, on behalf of the head of Turkmenistan, congratulated the ambassador on his appointment to a high diplomatic post, wishing him success in strengthening friendly and mutually beneficial relations between the two states.
The diplomat conveyed a greeting from the President of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega Saavedra, addressed to the President of Turkmenistan with wishes of health, peace and prosperity.
During the conversation, the Ambassador of Nicaragua was informed about the main directions of Turkmenistan’s policy. Particular attention was paid to the socio-economic programs implemented by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, aimed at developing the national economy and improving the standard of living of the population.
The parties expressed Interest in intensifying interparliamentary contacts. The accession of Nicaragua to the Group of Friends of Sustainable Transport, established at the initiative of Turkmenistan, was noted.
At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador of Nicaragua assured of her intention to contribute to the further deepening of friendly relations between the countries.
