The State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography of Turkmenistan was offered to become an associate member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). This proposal was voiced by the Director of Member Relations and Communications of the EBU, Ms. Michelle Roverelli, during a meeting with delegates from the State Committee on the sidelines of the forum in Naples.
Membership in the EBU will allow you to share news about Turkmenistan on television, radio stations and Internet portals of full member states of the Union, participate in events organized by the EBU, and also take advanced training courses in this organization.
According to the MIC, the forum in Naples was dedicated to the topic “Artificial intelligence in public media: a global perspective.”
On the sidelines of the forum, the Turkmen delegates also met with the head of the international cooperation department of the Italian television and radio company Rai, Ms. Simona Martorelli. The parties discussed the issue of signing a memorandum of understanding to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
The forum in Italy took place from June 11 to 12 and was organized by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) and the Italian broadcaster Rai, the source notes.
