Made in Italy Day celebrated in Ashgabat

In Ashgabat, on April 15, an event dedicated to Made in Italy Day was held in the new shopping center “Arkach”. This day was created to strengthen, protect and promote the Italian brand in the world. The event was hosted by the Italian Embassy in Turkmenistan and dedicated to the anniversary of the birth of Leonardo da Vinci, a symbol of Italian creativity and excellence.

The event was attended by representatives of the Italian oil and gas company ENI, operating in the Turkmen market, entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, students studying Italian, reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

The meeting began with the demonstration of videos about Italy's leadership in various areas of European and global production, such as fashion, design, furniture, food, and engineering industries. The focus was on Italian products, characterized by high quality, elegance and recognition.

The theme of the country’s economic and export potential was continued in his speech by the Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Turkmenistan Luigi Ferrari, who noted the positive dynamics of the development of trade, economic, cultural and business ties with Turkmenistan and expressed hope for their intensification after the recent opening of direct flights between the two countries. In this regard, the readiness to assist Turkmen business in establishing business ties with Italian companies was confirmed both by the embassy staff and the representative of the Italian Trade Agency in Turkmenistan who was present at the meeting.

The Ambassador, speaking about the beauty of Italian jewelry, recalled that the Turkmen classic Magtymguly Fragi was also a skilled jeweler, noting that beauty embodied in art and jewelry is a force that can save the world.

Next, representatives of Turkmen business who already have successful experience of cooperation with various Italian companies spoke. Currently, the Turkmen consumer market includes such popular Italian brands as Paul & Shark, Stefano Ricci, Benetton, the Musetti coffee brand, and Italian goods for home improvement and public buildings.

A representative of the Hermitage company in Turkmenistan spoke about completed projects for the arrangement of various premises with the supply of all interior items directly from Italian manufacturers, noting such a promising direction in Turkmenistan as equipping a “smart home”.

The participants continued a lively exchange of views during the buffet that concluded the meeting, the source notes.
