Today, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmed Gurbanov and Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Reinhold Lopatka.
The parties noted with satisfaction the growing dynamics of cooperation in such key areas as energy security, transport connectivity and environmental safety, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
Turkmenistan's effective contacts with such OSCE institutions as the Parliamentary Assembly, the Office of the High Commissioner on National Minorities, the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights and others have noticeably intensified.
The parties discussed the main directions and prospects for interaction between the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, expressing their intention to continue the positive practice of jointly holding thematic seminars and conferences.
