Ambassador of Turkmenistan Batyr Rejepov held a meeting with the head of the parliamentary Turkmen-Kazakh friendship group and member of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense and Security Baktykozha Izmuhambetov, writes Vestiabad.ru.
During a productive dialogue, the parties discussed ways to deepen cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries. The agenda included plans for joint events this year, including the next meeting of the interparliamentary friendship group and participation in bilateral and multilateral forums.
In addition, an agreement was reached to encourage cross-border interaction between the border regions of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in such areas as trade, economics, fuel and energy complex, transport, logistics and cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors emphasized their desire to maintain regular contacts on issues of mutual interest to strengthen the Turkmen-Kazakh partnership.
