The first ever ambassador of Turkmenistan accredited in Australia

The newly appointed Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Australia Atadurdy Bayramov on Tuesday presented his credentials to the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, David Hurley.

The award ceremony took place at Government House in Canberra, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The Ambassador conveyed words of greetings and best wishes on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of

Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, addressed to the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia. He also confirmed the interest of the Turkmen side in striving to deepen friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Australia.

Mr. David Hurley, in turn, expressed deep gratitude for the warm greetings and wishes, noting the historical significance of the appointment of the first Turkmen ambassador in the modern history of relations between Australia and Turkmenistan.

The Governor General conveyed his warmest and friendly greetings to the leadership of Turkmenistan and expressed his best wishes to the Turkmen people, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and mutual understanding between the two countries.

Let us remind that, according to the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Japan, Atadurdy Haldurdyevich Bayramov, was simultaneously appointed Ambassador to the Commonwealth of Australia (with residence in Tokyo) in December last year.
