At the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, the results of the work of the country’s trade and industrial sectors were discussed. There was an increase in trade turnover and production of consumer goods in January-February of this year, writes TDH.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Atdayev, trade turnover increased by 2.2% compared to the same period last year. The production of textile, clothing, knitwear and leather products has also increased.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange held 49 trades, resulting in more than 4 thousand contracts. The volume of work of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs has increased.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to improve the functioning of the country's markets and retail outlets and instructed to keep the supply of food and consumer goods to the country's population under constant control.
The head of state also focused on the importance of improving trade activities based on international experience, giving the Deputy Prime Minister specific instructions.
