In the building of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan, a meeting was held between representatives of relevant ministries, departments and state concerns with the director of the sustainable energy department of the UN Economic Commission for Europe, Dario Liguti, who arrived in Ashgabat.
According to the MIC, issues of enhancing international cooperation in the field of renewable energy sources and natural gas were discussed at the meeting.
During the negotiations, an interested exchange of views took place on the achievements of the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan and the tasks of introducing advanced technologies into production complexes. The importance of exchanging experience with global companies and organizations was especially noted.
The experience accumulated by Turkmenistan in environmental safety in the oil and gas sector was also positively assessed. Participants emphasized the important role of natural gas in the transition to renewable energy.
Among the priorities for cooperation were technologies for processing and expanding the use of energy resources, as well as improving industry management.
