The progress of agricultural work in the regions of the country, as well as preparations for the upcoming spring sowing, was discussed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during a working meeting on the digital system, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister T. Atahallyev, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, and the hyakims of the velayats.
As TDH reports, during the meeting, heads of velayat administrations reported on the work being carried out in the regions to prepare for the sowing campaign. It was noted that wheat crops are being cared for in accordance with agrotechnical standards. The preparation of land, equipment and seed material for sowing cotton and other agricultural crops also continues.
In addition, the meeting discussed issues of improving the land reclamation condition and ensuring the uninterrupted operation of life support systems for the population.
Having heard the report and emphasizing the need for high-quality implementation of field work in accordance with agrotechnical standards and schedule, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to keep in the center of constant attention the preparation for the upcoming season of areas for cotton and seed material, compliance with the requirements for caring for fields sown with wheat and allocated for planting potatoes, vegetables and melons, as well as providing farmers with high-quality seeds of these crops.
Addressing the heads of velayat administrations, the head of state emphasized the importance of fulfilling the tasks outlined in the country’s socio-economic development programs adopted for the current year, and gave a number of instructions in this regard.
In addition, the President of the country instructed to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of heating systems at social facilities in the velayats, as well as the supply of electricity, gas and water to the population.
