President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system, at which current issues of the country’s socio-economic development and drafts of a number of documents were discussed, TDH reports.

The first floor was given to the Chairman of the Mejlis, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, who informed about the activities of the national parliament. It was noted that work is underway to improve legislation in the field of family and civil relations. Bills aimed at improving the standard of living of the population are also being prepared. Deputies analyze the performance of duties by local authorities, study the socio-economic situation in the regions and the living conditions of citizens.

The head of state noted the importance of continuing work to improve the legislative framework in accordance with the requirements of the time.

Deputy Prime Minister Hojamyrat Geldimuradov informed about the strengthening of multilateral cooperation within the framework of international organizations, in particular the CIS. In 2024, a meeting of the CIS Advisory Council on Labor and Social Protection will be held in Ashgabat. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to ensure that this event is held at a high level.

Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Amanov reported on measures to strengthen the material and technical base of the fuel and energy complex. The head of state emphasized the importance of further development of the fuel and energy complex and gave instructions in this regard.

Also at the meeting, issues of agricultural work, development of the construction industry and entrepreneurship, training of scientific personnel, foreign policy activities, the transport sector were discussed, and a number of other issues of public life were considered, on which appropriate decisions were made.

Following the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave instructions to relevant vice-premiers and heads of departments to ensure sustainable socio-economic development and effective implementation of the state policy of Turkmenistan.
