Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the flower-laying ceremony at the Neutrality Monument

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in a solemn ceremony of laying flowers at the Neutrality Monument on the occasion of the International Day of Neutrality and the 28th anniversary of the adoption by the UN General Assembly of the Resolution on the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan.

According to TDH, the laying ceremony was attended by Ashgabat residents and guests of the capital, including representatives of numerous foreign delegations who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the International Conference “Dialogue - a Guarantee of Peace”, as well as in a high-level meeting of the Group of Friends of Neutrality for Peace and Security and sustainable development.

Among the ceremony participants were representatives of the Mejlis and Halk Maslahaty, members of the Government, heads of ministries and departments, ambassadors of Turkmenistan to foreign countries, heads of accredited diplomatic missions and international structures, elders, representatives of public organizations, and the media.

December 12, 1995 - the international Community of Nations, by decision of its highest forum, recognized Turkmenistan as a permanent neutral state. All 185 UN member states voted unanimously for the Resolution “Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan”.

Until now, no state has received such literally planetary support. And therefore, this significant event will forever remain a source of special pride for all Turkmen people.

National celebrations dedicated to the International Day of Neutrality were held in all regions of the country.
