The 7th meeting of the Turkmen-Turkish intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation was held in Ashgabat

The 7th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in Ashgabat today.

The meeting was attended by heads of leading ministries and departments of Turkmenistan and members of a representative delegation led by Vice-President of Türkiye Cevdet Yilmaz, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, regional and multilateral issues were discussed, as well as measures taken to implement the Work Plan of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation, adopted at the 6th meeting of the Commission.

Speaking at the meeting, Cevdet Yilmaz stated with satisfaction that today multifaceted Turkmen-Turkish cooperation is carried out in all areas at a high level, based on the principles of friendship and brotherhood, full understanding and mutual support.

Among the current areas of cooperation, such areas as trade, economics and investment, banking, energy, transport and logistics, industry and technology, education and science, healthcare, culture and tourism, nature conservation and urban planning, agriculture, and sports were named.

Members of the Commission outlined a number of specific steps to diversify interaction in all promising areas. The participation of representatives of the two countries in international conferences and other forums organized in Turkmenistan and Türkiye will help expand contacts, they noted.

Based on the results of the Commission meeting, the final protocol was signed.
