Activists from the Karelian city of Sortavala (Russia) declared war on buns and pastries, writes “Komsomolskaya Pravda”.

A group of women trying to live a healthy lifestyle and avoid unhealthy sweets are protesting against a popular bakery chain in the city because their products are preventing them from losing weight. They came to the head of the Sortavala administration Sergei
Krupin with a request to force bakeries to make advertising of their baked goods less “aggressive”. According to them, advertising of buns, cakes and other sweets is too eye-catching and seduces women who diligently count calories.

According to the Sortavala administration, women are unlikely to win the war against sweets and baked goods, since bakeries do not violate any laws.
