Today, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the meeting of the heads of delegations of the countries of Central Asia and Germany in Berlin, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
The meeting was held in the format of a business breakfast chaired by the Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany. The presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan also took part in it.
In his speech at the meeting, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan welcomes the initiative to create a new multilateral format and is ready to expand partnership in all areas of common interest.
The countries of Central Asia intend to further develop interaction aimed at creating conditions in the region to ensure the well-being of the peoples of their countries. In this context, it was emphasized that among modern problems the most pressing are issues of security, socio-economic development, ecology and humanization of international relations.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people also emphasized that economic development is one of the key priorities for the countries of Central Asia. He noted that today the system of world economic relations implies not only the integration of the economies of different countries, but also the coherence of the work of many of its components.
These included traditional areas: energy, transport and the financial sector, as well as new modern segments of the economy, such as digitalization, artificial intelligence and green technologies.
During the high-level meeting, an exchange of views took place on the development of cooperation in the environmental, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
