19 percent of families worldwide refrain from having many children because of climate change, wars and environmental destruction. 54 percent of respondents attribute this situation to economic conditions.
The Foundation's experts conducted a study involving more than 14 thousand adult men and women in South Korea, Thailand, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Sweden, Brazil, Mexico, the United States, India, Indonesia, Morocco, South Africa and Nigeria. These countries together account for more than 37 percent of the world's population, the Foundation's report notes.
