Within the framework of its participation in the 113th session of the International Labor Conference in Geneva, the delegation of Turkmenistan held bilateral meetings with the International Organization of Employers (IOE) and the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC). This was reported by the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN in Geneva.

Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan Muhammetseyit Sylapov discussed with IOE Secretary General Roberto Suarez-Santos ways to expand cooperation, including technical support and the involvement of national employers in international processes. The Turkmen side confirmed its readiness for further interaction with the IOE, emphasizing the importance of joint initiatives and the active participation of business in reforming the social sphere.

During the meeting with ITUC head Luc Triangle, the emphasis was placed on developing a tripartite partnership between the state, employers and trade unions. Steps to further expand the dialogue were discussed, including possible membership of Turkmenistan's trade unions in ITUC. The activity of national trade unions in international and regional formats, as well as their participation in the formation of the country's social policy, was noted.

During the plenary session of the 113th session of the International Labor Conference, M. Sylapov delivered a speech in which he emphasized Turkmenistan's commitment to the principles of decent work, social justice and partnership. The Minister noted the relevance of the ILO's global agenda and its compliance with the country's strategic development directions outlined in the National Program for Socioeconomic Development until 2052.
