Turkmen basketball players in the 3×3 format took second place in the group stage of the II Games of the CIS countries, which are being held in Belarus these days.
In the first match, the national team of Turkmenistan under the leadership of the head coach Toyly Bayriev won a confident victory over rivals from Tajikistan - 22:9, in the second match they lost to the team of Belarus (8:21), and in the decisive confrontation for reaching the quarterfinals of the II Games of the CIS countries with a score of 17 :11 outplayed the team of Uzbekistan.
It should be noted that the games of the tournament are held in Minsk at the Palova Arena. Teams from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Belarus are fighting for the main trophy.
The quartets that took 1st place in their group went straight to the semifinals, and the teams that took 2nd and 3rd places will start the fight at the playoff stage from the quarterfinals.
