An exhibition of works by People's Artist of Turkmenistan Chary Amangeldiyev and sculptor, Honored Art Worker of Turkmenistan Amanmuhammed Hydyrov opened in the Museum of Fine Arts in Ashgabat.

The multifaceted talent of Chary Amangeldiyev left as a legacy to his descendants an amazing world of images inspired by folk poetics.

Experimenting with the forms and principles of avant-garde, cubism and Dadaism, the artist invariably based his work on national motifs, history and culture.

His work is characterized by the desire to reflect the life of the people, plots in which the present harmonizes organically with the past, a subtle understanding of the inseparable connection between the national characteristic and universal values.

Having lived a long and eventful life, the artist left many beautiful paintings on historical themes, as well as those dedicated to the present and future of Turkmenistan; portraits; sketches; reflection pictures.

He was one of the “magnificent seven” artists (including Durdy Bayramov, Kulnazar Bekmuradov, Mamed Mamedov, Shamuhammed Akmuhammedov, Stanislav Babikov and Juma Jumadurdy), whose work subsequently had a serious impact on the flourishing of the Turkmen fine arts.

The exhibition also presents works by the sculptor, woodworker Amanmuhammed Hydyrov. A graduate of the Stroganov School in the direction of artistic processing of metal and wood, he became famous for his portrait works, many of which are dedicated to outstanding personalities of Turkmenistan.

He is also the author of five books - his research in art. Thanks to scientific works, A. Hydyrov is known far beyond the borders of Turkmenistan.

So, for example, he is an honorary academician of Uzbekistan.
