The first direct cargo flight from the Great Bay region, an economic and innovation development zone in southern China, to Turkmenistan took place on July 23. The plane of "Turkmenistan Airlines" delivered electronics, clothes and other goods from Shenzhen-Baoan airport to Ashgabat.
This is also the first flight from Shenzhen to Central Asia, which should strengthen trade ties between the regions, writes CGTN.
Turkmenistan Airlines also opened new destinations to Milan and Shenzhen, which will be served once a week by Airbus A330-200 P2F cargo aircraft.
