According to the indicators of three months of 2023, Turkmenistan entered the top 10 largest foreign trade partners of Uzbekistan. This is reported by the official website of the Agency for Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
For the period from January to March of this year, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan increased by 1.8% compared to the same period last year and amounted to $263.4 million.
According to statistics, for the first three months of 2023, Uzbekistan purchased Turkmen products worth $218.4 million, exports to neighboring Turkmenistan amounted to $45.1 million. During the reporting period, Turkmenistan entered the top 10 largest (7th place) foreign trade partners of Uzbekistan. The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan for the entire 2022 amounted to $926.3 million.
In January-March 2023, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $14.8 billion and increased by $1.6 billion, or 11.9%, compared to the same period last year.
China remains in first place with a total Uzbek-Chinese turnover of over $2 billion 350 million.
