The performance “Profitable Place” by the Ashgabat youth theater “ArtIst” was successfully held at the site of the XXV International Festival of Russian Theaters “Meetings in Russia”, which takes place in St. Petersburg.
A creative team from Turkmenistan presented to the attention of the participants and guests of the festival a modernized version of the play by Alexander Ostrovsky.
Also, to familiarize the participants of the festival with the traditions and cultural heritage of the Turkmen people, artists from Ashgabat prepared a separate performance. In Turkmen national costumes, they performed the ancient dance “Kushtdepdi”, included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO.
For active participation in the creative forum, the team of “ArtIst” was awarded a diploma of the International Festival in St. Petersburg, reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
