According to experts from the Moscow Planetarium, on January 4 our planet will reach perihelion – the point of closest approach to the Sun, thanks to which earthlings will be able to observe the solar disk at its largest visible size for the entire year 2025, writes Life.ru.
The year 2025 will be rich in astronomical events. Four eclipses are expected: two lunar (March 14 and September 7) and two solar (March 29 and September 21).
Two full moons deserve special attention - November 5 and December 5. They will coincide with the Moon's perigee passage with a small time difference.
The beginning of the year will also please astronomy lovers: on January 13, a comet is expected to appear, which can be seen with the naked eye. However, there is a risk that the comet, consisting mainly of ice, may not survive close contact with the Sun.
