Turkmenistan plans to introduce a special visa regime in Avaza, increase salaries, pensions, allowances and scholarships, as well as the size of living space per inhabitant

1. To attract tourists, Turkmenistan plans to introduce a special visa regime in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone on the Caspian coast. This initiative was put forward in order to increase the economic and financial potential of the resort area.

2. Turkmenistan will consider the issue of increasing wages, pensions, state benefits, scholarships for students and listeners by 10%. This proposal was made by the head of the Halk Maslahaty of the National Parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. “Is a 10 percent increase in wages and other benefits enough? Is this enough for a decent life of the people?” - Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.

3. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also raised questions about the existing artificial barriers to the conversion of the national currency. Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Milli Gengesh noted that in connection with the situation in the world, the issue of supporting industrial enterprises by the financial system and banks of the country is a priority.

4. In 2023, it is planned to create 2687 new jobs in Turkmenistan, build 14,44 thousand square meters of housing at the expense of public funds and 436,38 thousand at the expense of the private sector. As a result, it is planned to increase the living area of each person to 23,4 square meters. To achieve these goals, the State Budget for 2023 provides for capital investments in the amount of 1 billion 354,59 million manats.

6. In accordance with the new law of Turkmenistan “On Notaries and Notarial Activities”, the country has laid down the legal framework for the development of a private notary. The new law considers the notaries of Turkmenistan as a system consisting of bodies and authorized officials and private notaries working on the basis of a license granting the right to carry out notarial activities.

7. The flagship of furniture production in Turkmenistan, the Aýbölek factory, won a tender announced by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan for the production of all types of furniture for educational institutions of the country. According to the terms of the tender, the Aýbölek factory will manufacture and supply 33 thousand 300 units of various furniture products with a total value of 38 million manats.

A tourist train with participants of a pilot project, organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan jointly with the country's private travel companies, departed from the Ashgabat railway station. The first participants of the pilot project were more than seventy people - representatives of the sphere of culture and education, private travel companies of the country.
