Fashion Week 2022 is being held in Ashgabat under the motto “Made in Turkmenistan”. Within its framework, the best designers of the country's fashion Houses show their collections.
The event was organized for the first time within the framework of the festival “Ashgabat - City of Design: Fashion Week 2022” under the auspices of the Secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO and is held from September 2 to 7.
As reports the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper, the purpose of the Week is to support Turkmen brands, identify new talented stylists and designers, and popularize their new products.
On the first day there was a show of a series of autumn collections of the Ashgabat fashion house. The festive atmosphere of the fashion show was given by the performances of Turkmen pop artists. Many of the garments were made by hand and created using a unique sewing technique. The guests were especially interested in original solutions in traditional women's clothing. During the event, video materials about previous fashion shows were shown, and also presentations on the tourism and investment potential of Ashgabat.
