In Turkmenistan in connection with Kurban Bayram celebration the holiday is moved from July 10 to July 12

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the aim of careful preservation of the ancestral spiritual and moral values of the Turkmen people, as well as in accordance with part 2 of Article 81 of the Labor Code of Turkmenistan, signed today a decree on the celebration of Kurban Bayram.

In accordance with the document, this year Kurban Bayram Holiday is celebrated on July 9, 10 and 11. Due to the fact that one of the holidays falls on Sunday, the presidential decree prescribes to postpone the day off from July 10, 2022 to July 12 – Tuesday.

All institutions, enterprises and organizations, regardless of their forms of ownership, are required to ensure the implementation of this Decree.

In the aim of conduction of Kurban Bayram holiday a t the high level, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held today instructed all heads, especially the law enforcement bodies to organize supplementary duties during this period.

Kurban Bayram is one of the main Islamic holidays, celebrated after 70 days from the other important holiday Oraza Bayram. The days of its celebration in Turkmenistan are nonworking.
