The solemn opening ceremony of the Week of Culture-2022 was held today at the Ruhyet Palace in the city of Mary.
The creative delegations from all regions of the country participated in the opening. Each delegation arrived to participate in the events of the Week with its own original program.
The festive event of the Week of Culture, timed to coincide with the Day of Workers of Culture and Art, and also the Poetry of Magtymguly Fragi, is held in the country for the tenth time and permits presenting the historical and cultural heritage of Turkmenistan in all its diversity.
The program of the Week of Culture in Mary velayat, which will last until June 27, includes various events, including a conference, concerts of art masters, premiere screenings of feature films and creative meetings with representatives of the Turkmen cinema. The participants of the Week will make excursions to the historical and cultural monuments of the region, attend methodological classes and master classes.
Let us remind that last year the Week of Culture was held in Lebap velayat.
