Briton Victoria Evans on her own having swam over the Atlantic Ocean, broke the world’s record and got into the Guinness Book of Records. It took a woman 40 days, 21 hours and 1 minute to cross the Atlantic by rowing, reports interfax.ru.

Victoria Evans was sailing her boat on the trade winds route from Tenerife, Spain, to Port St. Charles, Barbados Island. In her interview for the Book of Records, Evans noted: “The days when our gender was called weak have passed, I hope that this record will demonstrate to all women and girls what we are capable of.”

The previous record belonged to the Briton Kiko Mathews, who crossed the Atlantic Ocean on her own on a rowing boat in 49 days, 7 hours and 15 minutes.
