On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the People's Artist, Honorary Elder of Turkmenistan Atageldi Garyagdyyew, the Ministry of Culture invites you to a jubilee concert.
The concert will be held at the Maya Kulieva Turkmen National Conservatory on March 23, reports the edition "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
Atageldi Garyagdyyew was born in the village of Egrigyuzer, Mary velayat. Already a schoolboy, he successfully participated in various competitions and festivals.
After graduating from the music school in Ashgabat, where he studied under Nury Halmamedov, he entered the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. He devoted his whole life to the art of music, being the leading soloist of the Opera and Ballet Theater in Ashgabat for many years. As “solo singing” department professor of the Turkmen National Conservatory, he trained many talented young people, while continuing his solo career.
The singer’s repertoire includes various opera part and pop songs.
Atageldi Garyagdyyev was awarded the “Stars of the Commonwealth” award within the framework of the XIV Forum of Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia of the CIS Member States for his contribution to culture and art in 2019.
