On the 19th of March of the present year the solemn inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of Turkmenistan will take place in the Oguzhan Palace Complex. It was announced by the current head of state Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during the conjoint meeting of the Cabinet of Ministries and the State National Council, the information program “Vatan” of the Turkmen television reports.
Berdimuhamedov, also, noted that after the inauguration ceremony solemn events continue in the Reception Centre.
The conjoint meeting of the Cabinet of Ministries and the State National Council held today was devoted to the issues related to organized conduction of the elections of the President of Turkmenistan scheduled for March, 12. 9 candidates are standing for the highest state post. Three of them are from acting in the country political parties: Democratic, Agrarian and the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. 6 candidates are promoted by the initiative groups of citizens.
At present time the candidates for the post of the President of Turkmenistan has finished their meetings with the voters of Ashgabat and regions of the country, as well as other agitation events.
In Turkmenistan and in foreign countries more than 2600 polling stations for voting are created.
