Iranian football player of Turkmen origin Serdar Azmoun debuted in official matches for Leverkusen “Bayer”.

Azmoun’s debut was held today in the match of the 25th round of the Bundesliga between “Bayern” and “Bayer”. The meeting ended with the score 1:1. Nikolas Süle (18th minute) scored for “Bayern”, and Thomas Müller (36) also scored an own goal.

The football player appeared on the field in the 89th minute of the match, replacing Moussa Diaby. Azmoun did not have time to make a mark with effective actions. In total, he spent about 5 minutes on the field.

“Bayern” are leading the league table with 59 points from 25 matches. “Bayer” Leverkusen are in third place with 45 points from 25 matches.

As a reminder, “Bayer” announced the signing of a contract with Serdar Azmoun on January 22. The former “Zenit” player signed a contract with the German club until the summer of 2027, which was supposed to take effect after the end of the current season. However, in the end, the parties reached an agreement on the transition already in the winter transfer window.

Transfermarkt puts the player’s market value at €25million.
