A book about international ecological documents has been published, to which Turkmenistan has joined

A monograph has been published with complete information about the main international ecological conventions and agreements that Turkmenistan has joined in the 30th years of Independence. This was reported in the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".

The author of the monograph "International ecological conventions and agreements of Turkmenistan (legal instruments and institutional mechanisms for ensuring)", Candidate of Legal Sciences Yolbars Kepbanov notes, that the book deals with the conventions ratified by Turkmenistan in the field of biodiversity, combating desertification, protecting the ozone layer, climate change, protection water resources.

The book was published in the Turkmen and Russian languages, occupies 400 pages of information from over 100 sources, including the texts of the conventions themselves, excerpts from state programs, analytical reports. It also summarizes the profile and significance of the agreements to which the country has joined, provides an analysis of them, considers implementation measures in Turkmenistan through the adoption of relevant laws and regulations.

The list of international ecological conventions and agreements is 28 items.

In the publication you can find a complete list of all agreements on the basin of transboundary rivers and the Aral Sea since the beginning of the last century, which passed into the sphere of responsibility of Turkmenistan on the fact of succession.

The book details the powers of the structural divisions of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, in which Turkmenistan takes an active part, and also program documents within the framework of which the member states of the Fund interact.

State institutions in the field of environmental management are given, their functions for the implementation of international ecological interaction are indicated.

Significant conventions in the field of environmental protection, to which Turkmenistan has not yet acceded, but which have an impact on the control of the transport of hazardous chemicals and toxic waste, such as the Stockholm and Rotterdam conventions, are considered. An assessment was made of the activities of the Aarhus Center, which assists the agroecological department in promoting the provisions of the convention of the same name in the country.

There is an information about conferences, during which the Millennium Declaration, the Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals were adopted.

Development of the Country for 2019-2025, the Program for the Development of Agriculture of Turkmenistan for 2019-2025.
