An intensive work in the direction of integrating information systems is being carried out by the ports of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan, informs the publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age", referring to the words of the head of the department of strategic planning and development of the Baku port, Hudayar Hasanli.
This work is holding within the framework partnership on the port infrastructure management program, according to which the port of Baku and the sea harbors of Central Asia integrate their information system into a single platform.
Such kind of work at present time is holding with Aktau (Kazakhstan) port. Hasanli notes, that in addition to the Central Asian countries an integration of information system with western countries are also planning.
There are many advantages of the project, including the fact that the time spent by the vehicle at the border checkpoint is reduced. As a result, a simplified form of border and customs control is already in effect for trucks. Similar work is underway on the railways, notes Hudayar Hasanli.
