On November 26-27, 2024, the capital of Turkmenistan will host the III International Conference and Exhibition "International Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development" (ITTC-2024). The event is timed to coincide with the World Sustainable Transport Day, according to the website ittc-turkmenistan.com.
The large-scale event, organized by the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, will bring together more than 600 delegates from 40 countries. Among the participants are representatives of railway and logistics companies, air carriers, manufacturers of transport equipment and government regulators.
The conference will discuss key infrastructure projects in the region, including TAPI, the Trans-Caspian route and the development of high-speed highways. Particular attention will be paid to the introduction of green technologies and the digital transformation of the transport sector.
An important part of the programme will be the Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Friends of Sustainable Transport, chaired by Turkmenistan and China. In addition, the Safe Roads for All initiative will be supported under the leadership of UN Special Envoy Jean Todt.
In parallel with the conference, a large-scale exhibition will be held where companies will present the latest developments in the field of sustainable transport and logistics.
