The President of Turkmenistan opened the international burn center in Ashgabat

A new major medical facility, the International burn center, was opened in Ashgabat today with the Participation of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The celebrations were attended by the Chairman of the Mejlis, members of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of various departments, military and law enforcement agencies, mass media, hyakim of Ashgabat, as well as medical specialists from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and health workers of Turkmenistan.

The head of state addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.

"The Constitution of our independent country stipulates that the highest value of society and the state is a person. Guided by this, we have identified one of the priority areas of state policy to provide the people with high – quality medical services and increase the life expectancy of citizens," Berdimuhamedov said.

During his speech, the President of Turkmenistan noted that specialized hospitals, health homes, diagnostic centers, sanatoriums, and medical industry enterprises equipped with the most advanced modern equipment are being put into operation everywhere in the country.

The international burn center built in the capital is another vivid example of caring for the health of the people.

The modern five – floor burn complex, built by the Turkish company “Gap Inşaat, has 130 beds, including 20 for children, 80 for adults and 30 in the Department of plastic-reconstructive surgery and intensive care.

The structure of the Center includes A Reception Department with an ambulance service, consulting, diagnostic departments, laboratory, rehabilitation Department, endoscopy, disinfection and inpatient treatment departments. There are pressure chambers that allow six patients to take medical procedures simultaneously. This will enable doctors to help people with burn injuries without interruptions, according to the state news Agency of Turkmenistan.
