A modern center of sanitation and epidemiology has opened in Mary

On the eve of the Day of Healthcare Workers of Turkmenistan, a ceremonial opening of the new administrative building of the Sanitation and Disease Control Service of the Mary velayat and the city of Mary was held. This event became a significant step in the development of the region's healthcare system.

The new complex includes five administrative buildings and service facilities that unite the velayat's sanitary, hygienic, epidemiological and laboratory diagnostic services. The building is equipped with modern laboratories, specialized departments and educational facilities, which will permit for effective control over the spread of diseases, the introduction of environmentally friendly work methods and the conduct of important research.

The equipment installed in the laboratories deserves special attention. It was supplied by leading global manufacturers such as Rosche Diagnostics (Germany), Newster (Italy), Thermo Fisher Scientific (USA), Belligham and Stanley (Germany) and FOSS Analitik (Denmark). This will permit the introduction of innovative technologies in the field of sanitation, hygiene and the fight against the spread of diseases.

The German company KTQ International certified the new facility with the “International Certificate of Assurance and Transparency in Healthcare”, and VS Vereinigte Spezialmöbelfabriken GmbH & Co. KG confirmed the hospital’s status with the certificate “The most high-tech project in the region equipped with eco-friendly furniture”.

In honor of the opening of the new service, the President of Turkmenistan presented the institution with a specialized mobile sanitary laboratory vehicle Mercedes Atego and service vehicles, which will significantly expand the capabilities of mobile work of specialists.

The construction of the complex was carried out by the economic society “Shadyyan gurlushyk”, which has extensive experience in the country's architecture. The total area of the center's territory is 2 hectares, where in addition to buildings, special roads, paths, sidewalks are built and trees are planted.

The opening of the new building of the Sanitation and Disease Control Service underlines the priority of healthcare in the state policy of Turkmenistan and the desire to introduce advanced technologies to preserve the health of the population.
