On June 26, the Chairman of the state Council of Tatarstan Farid Muhametshin and the Consul General of Turkmenistan in Kazan Atadurdy Bayramov met, the press center of the state Council of the Republic reports.
The meeting was also attended by albert Habibullin, Chairman of the state Council Committee on state construction and local self-government, Radik Vahitov, representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Kazan, and other officials.
Congratulating the diplomat on his new position, the head of the Parliament expressed confidence that friendly relations between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan, including inter-parliamentary ties, will be maintained and strengthened within the framework of Turkmen-Russian cooperation.
"Turkmenistan has always been one of Tatarstan's strategic partners. Trade and economic turnover between us is growing year after year, - said Muhametshin, - there are close economic and cultural, inter-parliamentary ties."
The Chairman of the state Council stressed that according to a good tradition that has developed in the Republic, it is customary to invite the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Kazan to all significant events.
Atadurdy Bayramov, in turn, thanked for the warm welcome and noted:
"You can be sure that with the opening of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan, the multifaceted relations between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan will only strengthen."
The Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan was opened by a special presidential decree on December 6, 2019 and became the third diplomatic mission in the Russian Federation.
Atduty Haldurdievich Bayramov appointed to the post of Consul General of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Kazan city) in May of this year. Now residents of 14 regions of the Volga Federal district can receive consular services in Kazan: Bashkortostan, Mari El, Mordovia, Perm, Tatarstan, Udmurt and Chuvash republics, Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Orenburg, Penza, Samara, Saratov and Ulyanovsk regions.
Recall that on June 16, Atadurdy Bayramov was received by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at the government House, and on June 23, he met with the mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
