Rashid Meredov: “We look forward to the visit of the WHO expert group to Turkmenistan with great respect”

Turkmenistan is ready to accept the expert mission of the world health organization. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and foreign Minister Rashid Meredov at the briefing "International cooperation of Turkmenistan in the field of health" held today in the Ministry of foreign Affairs.

"Turkmenistan is ready to organize the arrival of this mission in the country. There are absolutely no problems here," Rashid Meredov said, stressing that consultations are currently being held with WHO partners on logistics and technical issues of the mission's arrival, RIA News reports.

The head of the Turkmen foreign Ministry assured that the country will organize meetings and visits to institutions that they will be interested in at the highest level for colleagues from WHO. He also said that the work being carried out, including by, WHOis expected to include leading experts from well-known medical centers in Europe in the expert Commission.

"We look forward to the arrival of this group in Turkmenistan with great respect," Meredov concluded.

An outbreak caused by a new coronavirus was recorded in late 2019 in Central China, spread to most countries of the world and was recognized by the world health organization as a pandemic. According to official reports, there are no cases of coronavirus infection in Turkmenistan.
