Entrance examinations to higher and secondary vocational schools began in Turkmenistan, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported.
Entrance examinations are held at different times for each region. In each university, they are their own. In total, the campaign for the recruitment of first-year university students will end closer to mid-August.
The first happy owners of freshman status will be applicants who have successfully passed the entrance exams to the Oguzhan University of Engineering and Technology. In this innovative university of the country, the introductory campaign will end even before August. Literally, on the first day of the last summer month, the names of the first-year students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan will be known. As is known, on the eve of the current entrance campaign, two new universities were established on the basis of the Turkmen State Institute of Transport and Communications and the Institute of Public Utilities - the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, respectively, as well as the Institute of Engineering, Technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan. Also, the National Institute of Sport and Tourism of Turkmenistan, which is now called the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, has changed its status. The direction of training highly qualified specialists for the tourism industry now operates in the Turkmen State Institute of Culture.
In the current introductory campaign in the higher educational institutions of the country, the number of potential first-year students increased by 33 specialization vectors.
