The head of the International Sambo Federation, Vasiliy Shestakov, addressed the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov a message on the occasion of the choice of Ashgabat to host the World Sambo Championship 2020, the press service of the head of state reported today.
“On behalf of the International Sambo Federation (FIAS) and on my own behalf, let me assure you of my deep respect and inform you that at the last meeting of the FIAS Executive Committee held on March 22, 2019, it was decided to hold the World Sambo Championship-2020 in Ashgabat", - is noted in the message.
I congratulate you on this decision and I want to note the professional approach to the organization of sport events in Turkmenistan that are in the highest international standards. I am confident that the Sambo World Championship in turkmen capital will be organized at a high level and will be held with great success.
