Athletes from the Turkmenistan national team took part in the Krakow Cup, an international traditional karate competition held from March 10 to 17, 2026, in Krakow, Poland. Turkmen athletes won two bronze medals.
Selim Muradurdiyev, a coach and teacher at Sports School No. 1 of the Ashgabat Main Department of Physical Culture and Sports, won bronze in the individual bout category for athletes over 21 years old. Medine Gaylyeva, an eighth-grade student at Secondary School No. 20 in Balkanabat, Balkan velayat, took third place in the individual bout category for girls aged 12–13.
The competition brought together approximately 873 athletes from 14 countries, confirming the tournament's high international level.
