The chess federations of Turkmenistan and the Moscow region signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

The Chess Federation of Turkmenistan and the Moscow Region Chess Federation (MRCF) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at strengthening their partnership in chess development. The document was signed following working meetings between the head of the Turkmenistan Chess Federation, Vepa Malikgulyev, with the President of the FSHMO, Russian Senator Sergey Karjakin, and the Federation's Executive Director, Albert Minnullin.

During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation, holding joint tournaments and training camps, and exchanging experiences between coaches and athletes. Particular attention was paid to the development of youth programs, online learning, and the participation of Turkmen chess players in Asian Chess League tournaments and other competitions in Russia.

During the visit, the delegations attended the awards ceremony for the winners of the "Russian Chess Crown" international festival, organized by the Russian Chess International Federation. Representatives from 20 foreign countries participated in the tournament, which was held for the first time. Turkmenistan was the most represented country among the foreign participants. Karyakin and Minnullin expressed special gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan for the high level of involvement and support of the tournament.
