Students from Turkmen universities demonstrated outstanding results, winning a total of 46 medals (17 gold, 17 silver, and 12 bronze) at the International Mathematical Olympiad BIMO-2026 and the International Chemistry Olympiad BIChO-2026, which were held at Bukhara State University from January 25 to 28.

According to the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, more than 500 students and 100 teams from more than 10 countries, including Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Jordan, and Tajikistan, took part in the competition.

In parallel with the Olympiads, meetings of professors and teachers were held to exchange experiences in science teaching methods.

Participants were also given tours of Bukhara's historical monuments.
