A special media group has been created in Turkmenistan to cover sporting and cultural events in 2026.

According to "Turkmenistan: Golden Age," this information was announced at a conference held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and dedicated to media coverage of cultural and sporting events in 2026.

The media group included 12 experienced teachers and 76 talented students from specialized departments of five leading universities in the country: the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the International University for Humanities and Development, the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the Turkmen State Institute of Culture, and the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports.

The conference also explained the goals, objectives and key aspects of the organizational activities of the newly created team of correspondents.

Participants discussed the organization of specialized training sessions aimed at enhancing the key competencies of young journalists, enriching their experience, and professionally and promptly covering important events scheduled for national and international levels in 2026.

As a reminder, the year 2026 in Turkmenistan is being celebrated under the motto "Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses."
