The Iranian Embassy in Ashgabat celebrated Father's Day

A ceremonial Father's Day celebration was held at the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ashgabat.

According to "Turkmenistan: Golden Age," the event was attended by teachers and students from the Cultural Center, members of the public, and media.

In his speech, Ambassador Ali Mojtaba Rouzbehani noted:

"Respect for ancestors is one of the shared moral and cultural values that has existed between the peoples of Iran and Turkmenistan since ancient times. If we imagine a family as a building, the father is its support and roof. His presence bestows spiritual strength and inspiration upon family members. A father is a person who endures life's trials and maintains peace in the home. A father's love is often expressed not in words, but in actions."

Father's Day is a national holiday in Iran, founded in honor of the birthday of Hezrati Ali and traditionally celebrated as a tribute to the head of the family.

The festive evening's program included poetry readings, humorous skits, and song performances in Farsi, Turkmen, Russian, and English, the source notes.
